help! Ur end shoes and footwear for travel in India and Thailand .. What did u wear?

Since U have to take ur shoes if very Often when entering homes, etc. u wud travel with and without socks? u How to combine practicality with comfort? Keen? or are too hot to use? Pack ur in the exercise, ventilation boots? What type / types of footwear or made use of during ur trip?

When I went to India I bought a couple of Keynes and were the best investment I made for this trip. India is very hot for me if the question boots.
