Other than gladiators, what other shoes can you wear in the summer?

Not particuarly keen on gladiators just wondering what other shoes would look good be suitable for summer and resonably ‘trendy’ for summer 2009?

Flats always look cute, and an assortment of flip-flops in different colors are lovely. Low top sneakers (think converse) with shorts look nice–hightops make your legs look stumpy. I wear fringe boots with short shorts–uber cute. Wedges are nice as well.
