Summer Shoes For Men
Why is it acceptable for women in the office to go with bare legs/sandals, but men must wear loafers/socks?
In the office I work in, and many other compaines in the area, men must wear socks and closed toe shoes like loafers. A guy was asked to go home when he wore sandals with no socks. Yet, I seem women wearing summer dresses, no pantyhose, and open toe summer sandals.
Why has society made it easier in the US for women to go super casual but not men?
I believe all women should have to dress professionally, even if business casual, with pantyhose or sicks with slacks.

Easy – it is a double standard plain and clear. But there is more to this – it really is about being PC when it comes to UNATTRACTIVENESS. Let me explain.
If a woman was to show up at work with a tight miniskirt, garters and stockings with high heels – it is very likely she would be asked to go home and change into something else. The reasoning that would be explained to her is that her outfit is “too sexy” and distracting for the workplace – basically she looks too good to be at work looking like that.
On the other hand, show up with bare legs that display – what awful skin tone, dry skin, cracked heels, nasty toes, veins popping everywhere, excess skin on the knees, so on and so on – well no one now is going to say – “please cover up your legs they don’t look good”.
It is easier to monitor workplace dress that it too sexy – the reason isn’t offensive to the wearer. It is not easy to enforce what is unattractive or too casual – no one wants to tell the woman that their choice to go bare leg is unattractive.
