Summer Shoes For Kids
What should I do to help my kids?
I’ve been divorced for several years now and my kids live with their mother in MD. I moved back to MD from VA last year and my kids are struggling now (this year) with school. This is the worst year for grades with them and I don’t know what to do or resolve this problem. The mother has her excuses and blames me for everything. My girls are 8 and 11 and they go to an Arts school. If their grades are the same for 4th qtr, they will either get pushed back/summer school or get kicked out and go to a public school. What actions would you take on getting the kids better at school. The girls would rather finish their work or turn them in incomplete and play outside than take school seriously. Most people in my shoes say, just let it happen and report it in court but report it to who? Child enforcement don’t care. As long as they are eating something and breathing, MD Child support will not support me. Just taking my money while my girls suffer.
Do you have joint custody? Maybe you can help them yourself. Study with them. Take them out of the house and to a library. If not then maybe you can arrange for them to have a tutor. I don’t believe the mother just doesn’t care. You should try harder with talking to her and tell her they might end up kicked out of school if their grades don’t improve.
