What would you do if you were in my shoes?

I am a 25y/o paralegal, I was born & raised in europe so all my fam is there. I moved to the U.S in ’04. I was divorced & have a child with my Ex they stay in Vegas. I firts moved to TX then to IN where I met my 22 y/o crazy Boy Friend our relationship has been very challenging, we then moved to IL in summer of ’06. The relationship has gotten out of control so i decided to make an escape back to TX, I am 1 week away from my departure date (flight is booked) to visit my daughter, after that mini vacation was over I was going to go back to TX, but my friend just “postponed” that due to some personal emergencies whihc I think is all a lie… so what am I supposed to do now? I got a job have a place to stay didn’t quit either one yet…but I have really nowhere to go but stay, but if I stay then my crazy boyfriend is here & he is not good for me I feel I need a break because he brings the worst out of me! i have a lot of problems paying my bills cause he doesnt work, I just dont know!!!!

Why did you let him cancel? visiting your child should take precedence over a personal problem for him unless it may be life threatening. You need to reinstate your reservations and continue with your plans. It sounds as if you know that you need the break and he probably is worried about it, if you need to stay in a hotel until your flight leaves, then do so, but get out.
