Best outlet mall in LA?

I will be staying in LA for 2 weeks this summer, but am not going to spend my whole time there shopping, so i need to pick the best places to stop at. I’m looking more to buy designer’s clothing, shoes, accessories at discounted prices, therefore i was wondering what is THE best outlet place to go near LA. I’ve heard good comments about the Citadel Outlets, and maybe the Camarillo Premium Outlets (which is a little further from LA , but is it worth the longer drive?) Are there any other outlets places worth checking out?

The Citadel Outlets is only a few miles south of downtown Los Angeles. It is rather small (50 stores), and usually very crowded. You can see a list of stores on their website, “www.citadeloutlets.com.

Roughly a 45 minute drive north of L A. is the Camarillo Premium Outlet. It has 120 stores and is somewhat less crowded. It’s website / store directory is “www.premiumoutlets.com” (then select “Camarillo”).

Roughly a 45 minute drive east of L.A. is the Ontario Mills Outlets. It has 200 stores and is dramatically less crowded than the others. Its website / store directory is “www.ontariomills.com”.

If you plan to drive up to Las Vegas, Nevada while you’re here there are outlet stores in Barstow, California, and Primm, Nevada (on the Cal / Nev border), and if you plan to drive to San Diego there is one in Carlsbad, California.
