My cat is acting extremely strange. Is this normal?
For about a couple weeks now, I’ve noticed a relatively large change in my cat’s behaviour. He is about 8 years old now, and has been indoors for almost the whole winter season, because of the extremely cold temperatures here in Canada.
In the summer time, it is normal for him to go outside every single night and come back in the morning, and sleep all day then go outside again.
I’ve noticed that he is extremely hyper now, one moment he is resting on my bed, then he just sprints off and runs downstairs like he forgot the stove on or something (as if). Or he runs, stops, cleans himself very quickly, then jolts off again. Today he was sitting on my shoes as if to keep them warm or something. After I moved him off, he ran around a table about twice, then sprinted to the basement.
Does he just have too much energy that he can’t use? or is it something more serious? Thanks in advance.
Yes he has cabin fever, get a laser pointer, they love them.
