What do you think of short, loafer socks with dress shoes?

I think it’s great during the summer time. Do any of you male fashionistas do this? What do you ladies think? What is the word for male fashionista, is it sartorialist or can you can you call a man a fashionista. I saw the look in a recent issue of GQ. It might look a little informal to the casual looker, but is this stylish or does it just not look right?
