NYC trip in July with my dance studio, what should I bring?

I’m going to NYC in the beginning of July. My dance studio takes trips every year to someplace (Orlando, L.A., Denver, houston, etc.). I’ve only been to the Orlando trips. I’m not sure what i should bring. We’re taking classes at Broadway dance center, American Ballet Theater, and performing at Statue of Liberty or something like that. I know i need leotards, tights, And dance shoes but I’m not sure what else to bring. we’re going for 5 days. When we aren’t dancing we’re going all touristy we’re from chi-town so we know cold but not so much summer. I’ve heard that it gets really hot and humid in NY more than other places, is this true? PLEASE HELP!!!!!! my dance teacher said we should start to think about it now so we aren’t in shock when it’s a day before we leave and we aren’t packed. Spring and early summer is crazy because graduation, recital, competitions, etc. so i’m trying to figure it out now and pack later. All help is appreciated thank you so much!!!!!!!!!
