Spring Shoes Careers
What to wear to our alumni dinner on a budget?
DH and I will be attending an alumni dinner in three weeks for
the college he graduated from and I formerly attended. It will be in the Dallas/Fort Worth area at an upper-scale Mexican grill. Having only seen our alums during formal events on campus, I have no idea what to wear to this dinner, and would like to spend as little money as possible. I am 23.
I already have:
1. Green paisley v-neck dress with fluttery sleeves. Looks very nice on me, but needs something, like a belt. What belt styles are in for this spring? Length needs heels; what type of heeled sandals?
2. Black pencil skirt and cute heels, but no spring/summer tops to go with it.
3. A tan, almost tweed-looking cotton suit. It is more of a fall style. Do not have appropriate shoes to go with it.
Things I could get:
1. Assuming they have one in my size, the Career Services Office at my university gives away free suits for interviews.
Your suggestions will be welcome. Thanks!

I suggest the skirt with a flowy, summery shirt and heels. Looks professional and pretty at the same time.
