What type/colour suits would a typical Sicilian/Italian man wear to a wedding?

Im Irish, and going to a wedding in Sicily during the summer. I was thinking of wearing a full white suit and white shoes for a bit of fun. Then I was thinking, since its a hot country, maybe this would be standard wear, and it would be ok to wear in that case. Can you tell me, what colour suit would a typical Italian/ Sicilian man wear??

I believe that you should go in a charcoal black suit or even a lighter gray. It is formal but yet typical.
