Famous Footwear job interview?

Today I took my resume and filled-out applications to several different businesses, as I am looking for a summer job. I walked into a Famous Footwear to see if they were hiring, and the manager tore an application slip off of a pamphlet and told me to fill it out. I did, and then she said she needed to check her calendar. She came back and asked me if I would be available to come in for an online interview. I accepted.

Is this normal procedure? I saw on the pamphlet that it said to go to a website and fill out more paperwork, but she didn’t seem too concerned with that. Does this mean that the application from the pamphlet was enough to get me an interview right away? Should I go online and submit the lengthy application?

Also, what is an online interview? She said it would take about an hour.

Can any Famous Footwear applicants or employees give me some tips or explain the hiring process?
Any more comments would be much appreciated! :)

an online interview is just a bunch of surveys to find out your personality, qualities, and that crap. It’s so you dont scream at customers. Everybody likes a nice, but not too passive employee. Yes, go online a submit the app. If you need a job, then take whatever steps necessary to get it. good luck :)
