How much pay should I ask for as an assistant manager at a shoe retail store?

I’m filling out several employment applications for shoe stores as an assistant manager. I’m not sure what a reasonable salary would be to ask for.
Say the retail stores are Famous footwear, Foot Locker.

You don’t say what the duties and responsibilities would be.

I work at a drugstore and the asst. mgr’s make about 35k and the exec. asst. mgr’s make about 45k.

I would think you should expect something in the lower 30′s.
