How to relieve posterior shin splints?
I went for a jog a few days ago (Tuesday) and since then have been experiencing pain in the back of my legs. I think it happened due to inappropriate footwear, and have not jogged since.
Everything I could find advises to ease up on jogging for a few weeks – this isn’t a problem, but it hurts when I walk (as a tour guide, that’s not something I can ease up on!). Does anyone have advise on how to ease the pain and help them to heal?

Your calf muscles are sore.
Try Motrin (ibruprofen), Aleve (naproxyn), gentle stretching, muscle rubs.
The muscles are just a little out of shape. It will pass.
